TDR Kotelnikov is a wideband dynamics processor that combines high-precision dynamic range control with wide musical possibilities. As the successor to the famous TDR Feedback Compressor product line, Kotelnikov inherited several unique features such as a proven control scheme, individual control of peak and RMS attenuation, an intuitive user interface and powerful, modern, high-precision algorithms.

With an audio signal that is best described as “unnoticeable”, Kotelnikov can significantly change the dynamic range while carefully preserving the original tone, timbre and expressiveness of the musical signal. This makes it ideal for stereo bus compression, as well as other important tasks.

The Gentleman’s Edition (GE) includes several improvements over the standard version. The most obvious are intuitive access to various volume leveling workflows, the ability to set the gain based on frequency, and a powerful side-chain high-pass filter that provides continuous slope and frequency adjustment. Yin/Yang functions allow control over the harmonic pattern that occurs during compression, and the “insane” quality mode further increases the precision of the processing.
