Evolution Rock Standard fully reproduces the sound of the iconic electric guitar that played a central role in the history of rock music. These guitars have remained popular for decades, appearing on countless landmark recordings and performances.
The level of craftsmanship invested in the production of these electric guitars is evident in their depth of sound and rich, singing sustain. Dual humbucking pickups deliver rich midrange frequencies, providing ample presence for crisp, high-res tones, and generous warmth for clean tones. All of this has been conveyed with exceptional detail: diverse dynamics, cyclical variations, and all the articulations necessary to create production-ready rock guitar rhythms and solos.
In developing the Evolution Rock Standard, we collaborated with Rosewood Recording Company, one of Utah’s most respected recording studios. Guy Randle, owner and engineer at Rosewood Recording Company, uses analog audio equipment to masterfully shape and highlight the guitar’s rich tonal qualities.
For sampling, Guy Randle enlisted the help of the versatile and talented guitarist Michael Dowdle. Michael Dowdle’s impressive musical career includes recordings with artists such as Marie Osmond, The Osmond Brothers, John Schneider, David Archuleta, and The Jets, as well as contributing music to numerous films and television series. He has also performed live with artists such as Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, The Coasters, Sam Cardone, and many others.
