If you’re looking for a realistic mandolin perfect for country, folk, and Americana, look no further! The meticulously sampled Evolution Mandolin features a bidirectional loop for wide playing versatility. Three layers of velocity sensitivity provide a wide, expressive dynamic range. In addition to all the essential articulations, including palm muting, harmonics, and legato, we’ve also sampled uneven fret notes, which can be added to your mandolin playing for added realism.

Evolution Mandolin offers all the latest features of our Evolution guitar engine: an innovative strumming pattern editor, automatic chord detection, and a powerful effects engine. Numerous factory presets provide ready-to-use mandolin sounds that will fit perfectly into your mix.

We developed the library in collaboration with Rosewood Recording Company, one of Utah’s most respected recording studios. Guy Randle, owner and engineer at Rosewood Recording Company, used analog audio equipment to skillfully shape and highlight the mandolin’s rich tonal qualities.

For sampling, Guy Randle recorded versatile multi-instrumentalist Ryan Tilby. Known for his broad palette of sounds and styles, Ryan Tilby has performed at Telluride, Merlefest, FanFest, RockyGrass, and numerous other festivals across the US, and has also toured Europe extensively. His music has been featured on Duck Dynasty, Discovery Channel, and Outdoor Photo Adventures. Ryan Tilby also offers remote recording services to clients worldwide who need tracks for guitar, banjo, bass, mandolin, and ukulele.
